MIDI clock sync in bassline

Hi.
I am trying to get my bassline patterns to play with MIDI clock. but when I have midi sync on I can't get the pattern to start playing. How do I play my patterns programed in bassline in sync with my other gear? I don't want it to be MIDI notes, only the clock...

Please explain to me the proper settings to accomplish this...

Check your midi program. Make sure it sends out the midi clock signal.

Re: MIDI clock sync in bassline

It is korg hardware and it is ALWAYS sending clock....
more specifically I've tried my MicroKorg and my Kaoss pad 3

Re: MIDI clock sync in bassline

Check the sync menu (setup screen) so that it's not accidentally set for sync24 clock. Then all you really have to do is to hit play on your korg with the bassline switched to external sync mode.

Re: MIDI clock sync in bassline

Ok so, I figured out that it won't start without sending a MIDI "start" signal.....   kinda inconvenient on my part because with the KP3 to get to the start signal button will halt all audio playing. so that means I have to get the bassline going FIRST and then start my samples (which doesn't start at the same time as the "start" signal). THEN, sync it all to the bassline.. way too complicated to work.... but whatever. I got it sudo-working.
