so is there going to be any more midi interfaces for prophet or should i bin it now and cut my losses? come on guys. Prophet is practically useless without any midi or save and load suppport for it. and it is near enough impossible to find the things to allow that here.

Why don't you build your own MIDI to Sync converter??

huh? useless without MIDI or save/load support? MIDI is a bit of an afterthought for P64, and save/load works just great with my 1541 drive. ![]()
even with owning the FS interface, i don't see what the *need* for it is (hell, it can't even do what i bought it for).
don't get me wrong - it's a great unit, but i almost wish i had spent my time learning the P64 software in and out instead of waiting for the interface thinking it'd solve all my problems.
then again, it's not like i don't feel bad for the guys that missed out. we waited a damn long time for this, just to sell out in a matter of days...

I'm pretty much crap at soldering stuff together and I don't really have time or energy to take up yet another passtime such as electronics. I was really looking forward to syncing up Prophet to Cubase so I could use it as a synthesiser so that i could save songs etc to my computer. I tried the HDD64 thing but I couldn't get it to work and all the user support assumes that you can code for your 64 or run things in DOS at assembly level... maybe I'm overexagerrating but to put things short I bought it and wanted to be able to use it but couldn't so to me it's pretty much useless. If there is no Midi Interface that I can use for Prophet 64 I may end up just selling it as at the moment it's no more than just a toy to make sounds and short sequences that you can't save, in my setup at least...

I was very busy the last week with my job, so i couldn't spend alot of time here.
Well, as for the midi interface, i won't do any new ones, since the mssiah is coming. Instead, i will probably make a SDR interface, for those who want to use midi load/save features. Not sure about that yet. Mouse support is also still needed.
Also, i will see if i can get the midi-interface to work with MYMidi. Normally it should be possible with just a little firmware upgrade, but i can't test it right now, since i can't find my XE1541 cable, dammit!
And i am too lazy to make a new one. So expect more info, when i found it somewhere in my packing cases.
